Greg has many interests, including computer software, aviation, and real estate. Greg is from La Jolla, California and went to school getting a degree in Computer Science, with minors in Music and Accounting. In 1981, he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to learn how to ski. A few years later, he started Century Software, which developed a communications software product that allows differing computers to communicate together. The company grew rapidly during the times before the internet, when communications links between computers were just beginning.
Greg’s experience with Windows and UNIX operating systems branched out to the newer, free Linux operating system. In 1999, Greg wrote a free window system called Microwindows that could be used on small, embedded Linux systems. This system, because of its small size and free cost, enabled many others to build their own applications in the emerging PDA and mobile marketplace.
Greg used the profits from his software activities to invest in raw land starting in the mid ‘90s. These investments grew and were re-invested, allowing him to build a large portfolio of light industrial, commercial, and residential land holdings in Utah, Idaho, and Washington. Greg decided to develop some of these investments into high-end rural residential waterfront lots in the North Idaho area.
For pleasure, Greg enjoys flying, skiing, snowboarding, riding mountain bikes, running, windsurfing, and collecting fine wine.
Greg will go undercover in Las Vegas on Thursday, December 18th on the season finale of FOX's hit season special Secret Millionaire.
